Mapping Report update from the EU Commission shows increase of social entreprises across Europe
The update on the mapping report was recently published by the European Commission on 25 October 2016. The new reports provide a comprehensive study for France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Ireland, Slovakia and Poland.
Overall, a higher demand for ethical businesses and a larger scope of specialty fields have allowed an increase of employment rate in the social entreprises sector that cruises around 20% for countries such as Italy or Beigium.
Challenges for the future include a more efficient legal framework for social entrepreneurs and a better regulation between the private and public market as well.
